Our online courses are presented through a multi-faceted online portal. You will be assigned Richmont login credentials, and with those you will access a portal with functionality for viewing lectures, connecting with classmates, taking exams, submitting assignments, collaborating with faculty, and more.

Richmont’s online courses are designed with your dynamic schedule in mind, providing the flexibility you need to study and participate at your own pace. 

All courses include an asynchronous and synchronous components. Students meet for class meetings about every other week throughout the semester in the evenings.

All courses combine synchronous and asynchronous components. This means that, while most of your coursework can be completed independently on your own, you also have the opportunity to participate in live class meetings with your instructors and classmates.  

All of your course assignments, discussions, quizzes, and exams, however, must be completed by their assigned due dates. Some courses may also require online group work that you need to take into consideration when allocating your time.

Through the online portal, you’ll have access to multiple ways to interact with your peers and instructors. Features include:

• Live Class Meetings: Attend virtual class meetings to interact with your instructors and classmates in real time. Classes are scheduled every other week in the evenings. 
• Email: Direct message your classmates and instructors. Similar to regular email, it’s an internal feature exclusive to those in the program.
• Groups: Collaborate with your classmates on group projects and assignments.
• News: Stay up-to-date with key updates from your instructors. 
• Discussion Boards: Share ideas and feedback with the class. Some boards are graded and other times they are used as a means for brainstorming and sharing feedback.

Students enrolled in Richmont online courses should plan to spend approximately 8 to 12 hours per week on readings and assignments for a 3-credit course. Allocate extra time when you have papers, projects, or exams.

The Online Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling is a 66-credit hour curriculum that emphasizes Christian integration, academic rigor, and clinical excellence. The online program can be completed in as quickly as 3 years or up to 4 years. Small class sizes create a cohort feel and allow for personal interaction with distinguished faculty.
