Professor of Counseling, VP of Student Affairs

Dr. Blackburn holds a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College and a MA in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. Dr. Blackburn holds a Professional Counseling license in Georgia and is licensed as a Professional Counselor and a Psychologist in Tennessee. She is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). Her research interests focus on fostering wellness and self-compassion in counselors-in-training and on theology and practice of grace in counseling. Dr. Blackburn is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Christian Association of Psychological Studies (CAPS). When Dr. Blackburn isn’t at Richmont, you’ll find her hanging out with her family or watching something funny on Netflix with her husband.
